Hi! I am Rebekah. I am living out my dream as wife to the love of my life, my husband Josh and mother to 5 beautiful but messy little ones. Israel 9, Judah 7, Ellie 4, Simeon 3, and Luke 1. First and foremost I am a daughter of God, saved by grace, who wants to serve and worship Jesus with all that I am and have. Join me as I seek to be faithful with all God has called me to be and do.

I started this little blog back in 2013 not knowing anything at all about blogging, ( I still don't) in hopes to encourage other women to be faithful in the daily grind of life (and do a little venting). Whatever our role in life it can be easy to get disillusioned and think we are not doing enough or that it doesn't matter. The truth of the matter is that God wants us to be faithful to him with whatever he has given us to do.

"His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master." Matthew 25:21 ESV
We all could use some encouragement to live a faithful life. We all need each other, we can't live this life in our own power and strength. I am blessed to have many friends and family but there are many days when I can't get out and it's so nice to connect with friends via this little space.

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrew 10: 23-25

I  also love having a place to record and look back on life as it is right now for my family.  Even though it's hard taking care of so many little ones it's also such a fun and precious time that I love being able to document.

If you haven't noticed I love taking pictures! So get ready for a lot of pictures. I am not a professional photographer by any means; I am learning as I am going and of course my children are my favorite subjects!

I started homeschooling our first son in 2010 and it has been a rocky road that has finally started to smooth out a little. I fought with myself, my kids and God before I finally gave in and surrendered. Since then I have learned a lot about myself and a lot about persevering through the hard times to experience the rewards.

I firmly believe that every family has to seek God to lead them to make the right decisions for their family based on scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Many things I share about are what God has called my husband and I to do for us and our little ones. I never want to use this platform as a way to tell you how to do life, but rather share what I have found thats has helped me and encourage and inspire you in your journey of figuring things out.

I determined when I started this blog that this would only be an outlet for me. I never want it to take away from my family and my responsibilities in the real world. So even though I would love to have lots of followers and post every other day, I know that's just not a priority for me right now. I need my sleep and my family needs me. So I pray that God leads who he wants to visit here and if he wants to grow my blog...so be it.

You will find that I pretty much share whatever is on my heart or whatever I am up to here at home. Whether it be learning how to be content in a 2 bedroom house with 5 kids, homeschooling, DIY projects, cleaning and more cleaning, mamahood, being a wife, making do with what I have, tried and true recipeshow God is speaking to me, teaching me and humbling me and a lot of rambling about life.

My husband and I have been married 11 years and  by God's grace we fall hopelessly more in love every year in spite of each other! God has been so good to us, not because of anything we have done or deserve but only by his grace and mercy upon our lives. We desire to seek him first and keep surrendering our lives daily to him. We fail and mess up but God is so faithful! My husband is a Middle school and associate pastor at Calvary Chapel. I love being to work alongside him when I can and pour into the middle schoolers at such a crucial and difficult age.

We live in beautiful sunny Florida near the beach and love to frequent there often to fish and swim. We would love to live out in the country and live off of our own land and my secret desire is to have a cow and goats to milk. But for now we have our own little farm in the city consisting mostly of children, chickens, bees, lizards and sometimes vegetables and flowers( if the chicken and children don't eat or destroy them all.) My husband supplies us with fresh venison, turkey and wild hog when he hunts from our property an hour away. He is also a beekeeper and we are blessed to be overflowing with honey. Like I said I am only missing the milk part.

I am a wife, mama, housekeeper, daughter, friend, sister, runner, homeschooler, wanna be photographer, crafter, writer and musician but these don't define or fulfill me. Jesus is the one who made me, fulfills me and defines who I am. It is only when I gave my life to him and he forgave me of all my sins that I found who I am and what my purpose was...to live for and glorify him; being faithful with all that he has given me until he takes me to be with him in my forever home.

My prayer is that somehow by my little words you also will find who you are meant to be in Jesus and be faithful with what he has given you and who he has called you to be.

Stay faithful!
