A night at the beach in pictures
I thought it would be fun to do a picture post since I haven't done one in a while.
We went to the beach a few nights ago and it was so beautiful that of course I had to take a ton of pictures! (Be sure to follow me on instagram for lots of fun pics!)
We used to go to the beach at night all the time in the summer but haven't as much since it can be really stressful trying to feed everyone afterwards and get everyone cleaned up and ready for bed. Josh and I usually enjoy going alone on our date nights:) Since my brother was in town we made the extra effort a couple of nights and it was so worth it!
It was definitely cooler at night and there was such a nice breeze. It was still hot enough to go in the water and swim. Josh and the boys brought their skimboards and I kept my eyes on the little kids. Simeon and Ellie can swim but I still prefer for them to wear their life jackets.
The sunset was amazing even though it was covered by some clouds but once it was down we were out of there! It sets around 9 and the kids bedtime is usually 8 so we had a few whiny kids on the way home.
I have always loved watching the sunset and sunrise and here in Florida we are so blessed to have such spectacular ones all year long!
There were some crazy cloud formations as we walked up to the beach. They look like bubbles protruding from the clouds. They are so cool! They are called mammatus clouds if you are wondering.
I didn't take the time to edit any of the pictures but I think they came out beautiful just as they are. Editing can be so time consuming. God's creation really doesn't need any editing or filters!
Luke and his little cousin were so cute together. My brother and his family have been in town for a month and it has been so much fun hanging out with them and seeing the kids interact. The little ones were finally hitting it off and playing so good together and then we had to say goodbye:( They live all the way in Washington state so I don't think we will be seeing them for awhile. But we were so thankful for the time we had together.
It's been a great summer but I think we are all ready to get back to a normal routine and for cooler days ahead though since we live in Florida that will be awhile.
How is your summer going?
Did you go anywhere or have any family come in from out of town?
Do you get to see the sunset where you live?
Do you live near the beach?
Are you ready to get back to your normal routine?

These are gorgeous! Agreed, no editing required :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, beautiful evening! I rarely think of going to the beach in the evening. I should add that to my summer bucket list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this special time.
