My Christmas Wish List

I love giving gifts but I also have to admit I love receiving gifts. Especially when I can see there has been thought and time put into them. Over the years I have become more practical in my gift requirements. Give me a new vacuum and I won't complain. Thankfully my husband is a great gift giver and always asks me what I want or need.

I always used to think that I if I really liked something and gave it to someone that it would be more significant and they would love it all the more. But I have come to realize that just because I like something doesn't mean they will. It's easy to buy things for others that we would want for ourselves it takes a little more effort to find out what they would like. Somehow I end up buying more things for myself when I am out shopping for others.

I tend to have expensive taste but a tight budget so when my birthday and Christmas comes I take advantage of it. My birthday was the end of November so I'll share what I received and what I would wish for if the sky was the limit.

All of these gifts are from Amazon. My husband and I got Amazon Prime last year and it was one of the best purchases we have ever made. It is so nice to sit down at my computer from the comfort of my home and order everyday items and gifts and get them delivered to my door or the person I am sending it to in 2 days for FREE!! It's awesome!

Let's go shopping!

Photography is a little hobby of mine and I have been wanting a new lens for a while. I asked some of my photography friends and they recommended this lens:

Sigma 17-50 Lens f/2.8

Josh got it for me for my birthday and I am having so much fun with it!

Now all I need is a new camera;) This is the one I have currently:

Canon Rebel T3i

Here is what I would upgrade to. Of course I would have to get a full time job to pay for it so I am going to just be thankful for the great camera that I have. There will always be something bigger and better out there. Maybe one day. If you are looking for a great starter dslr, the REBEL is amazing!

Canon 70d

Kindle Fire Tablet $49.99

My husband got me a Kindle a couple of years ago and I loved it! It was so nice to be able to download books right away and was so convenient. My kids loved using it also to play educational games, unfortunately they broke it and now I am need of a new one. Luckily it is 3x less the price than when I received it!

United ZION CD $13.29

Audrey Assad

The Hunts

I know that mp3s are more popular than CD's and there is amazon prime music and pandora but I still like listening to CD's in my car and being able to download them onto my  ishuffle. I don't think there is a Hillsong United song that I don't like. I am always so ministered to by their music. If you haven't heard of Audrey Assad you need to. She is incredibly talented and her music and lyrics are so anointed. If you are looking for some new music go check her out! Also The Hunts are all siblings who are incredibly talented. Their music is folky and eclectic. They all play the violin and have a such a great sound and feel to their songs.

Glimpses of Grace

I read Gloria's book Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full last year and have been wanting to read her next book. I always need to be reminded of the truth of the Gospel and encouragement to live it out in my home.

Rifle paper Co. Journal

I love anything from Rifle Paper Co. and this journal is no exception. I go through them fairly quickly so I can always use one, especially one this pretty!

Next on my list is very practical...shoes. I really only wear sandals, flip flops and running shoes.
I have worn out my sandals and really needed a new pair. I got these also for my birthday and love them. I wear a size 9 and usually have to get a size ten because of shoes running small but I ordered the 9 and they fit perfect and fit nicely in our budget. I know I'll get my money's worth out of them.

Keen's Woman City of Palm Sandals $38

Infinity Scarf $11.98

As soon as it gets cold here in Florida everyone busts out there winter apparel and accessories. I love to crochet and have made some of these for my sister and daughter but I still haven't made one for myself. This is so affordable and I won't have to put any time into it so it sounds like a great deal to me.

I have been wanting to get new pillows covers for the living room and our bedroom for a while. I made the ones we have now about 2 years ago and they are looking pretty sad these days to say the least. I found these pillowcases and love their design and prices.

Bird Pillow Case $5.66

Map  $5.99

Home Sweet Home $6.50

I don't wear a lot of jewlery but when I do it's usually necklaces or earrings.I usually only wear silver jewelry but I have been really liking the bronze and gold. It's funny how new styles or old ones revived grow on you. These ones are only$ 4.99!

Bronze Earrings

Stainless Steel Polished Gold Earring $10

  Turquoise Pendant Necklace Under $5

Leaf Necklace Under $5

I love drinking out of pretty mugs, they make the whole tea or coffee experience so much more enjoyable.

Bird Coffee Mug $ 8.95

Flower Coffee Mug $12.99

Owl Coffee Mug  $13.50 for 2

I love giving gifts and hopefully giving someone something they can use and love.  One of my favorite thing about Christmas is is seeing the look of wonder and awe on my children's and faces when they have received what they have been hoping and waiting for but I have to admit I don't mind opening up a gift that I really like and can use also.

Not only would I like these gifts but I know my sister, mom and friends would also.

I hope you find some inspiration for your loved ones on this list and maybe for yourself also!

  8. Amazon Prime rocks! Someone was just telling me about Amazon Prime Now - an app if you live in certain areas. It's available here so I'm going to have to try it. I guess you order and things are to you in less than 2 hours (groceries, too!) I'm thinking it could radically change my life! Ha!
