The Best Cleaning Solution in the World

I know this is not what you were expecting to see (be glad I closed the lid) but we all see it and use it everyday; young, old, rich, poor. Whatever you call it; the throne, latrine, W.C., the potty, outhouse; it is a daily part of life. Along with using it comes cleaning it...which of course I don't not look forward to with anticipation, especially with a house full of boys( use your imagination) but it is most definitely necessary.

I don't think I could handle the stench or the look of the bathroom if we let it alone. Even though there are times when I think, "What is the purpose? It is just going to get dirty again!"

This is what I was thinking one day last week as I was cleaning it for the 5,698 time( I could be exaggerating, but probably not) but then I thought of Jesus, yes Jesus... who did the dirtiest job in the world... as I was bent down doing the dirtiest job in the house. He died for us once for all (Heb. 7:27) but continually cleanses us of our filth and waste as we come to him in repentance.

Over and over again, we continue to sin even if we have accepted his gift of salvation. We will not be made perfect till we see Him as He is and are made like him.(1 John 3:3) How I look forward to that day! No more sin, no more pain, no more hurt, sickness, death!!!....and no more dirt or cleaning!! The streets and cities will be made of pure clear gold!!(Rev 21:18)

Until then I desire to live for him and honor him in all I do... even cleaning the toilet. It can seem so insignificant, yet it is important and even pleasing to God when He looks down and sees our hearts... worshiping Him in ALL we do.

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17

I am so thankful that I was listening to God. He is always speaking; wanting to show us and teach us things throughout our day, no matter what we do. So many times I have not heard Him, not because He wasn't speaking to me, but because I wasn't listening. It's amazing to me what I can learn just around my house and with the people He has put in my life if I am willing to humble myself and open my heart and ears to listen....even in the bathroom.

While I am talking about cleaning bathrooms I thought I would share my cleaning essentials with you.

If you are feeling dirty and in need of some elbow grease...go to Jesus, acknowledging your sin, ask him to forgive, cleanse  and make you new... and he will!!! And that is the best cleaning solution that I could ever recommend!!

“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lordthough your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. Isaiah 1:18
